*Today I did a letter of the week (Z) for the zoo theme. Before I revealed the theme, we tried coming up with words we knew that start with Z and the only ones we could think of easily were zebra and zoo, which worked perfectly well.

*Each child had a different colored felt elephant and added it to the board as the story went along. I tried to keep the colors a secret and have them guess which color was coming up based on the rhymes, but that was a little too hard so we went back to showing the pages and guessing that way
