Kids wore their fanciest outfits while we read a version of The Nutcracker illustrated by Valeria Docampo, had tea and cookies, made paper snowflake ballerinas, and tried some ballerina moves with real ballerinas from our local ballet school! I originally saw this idea on the blog The Show Me Librarian and have been itching to do it ever since!
